OMG, this! I knew I couldn't be the only one. I had one big journal but after switching to Journey 2025 and its proprietary cloud sync, decided I wanted to move entries related to work to their own journal. That process was also manual and tedius (why can't I select multiple journal entries in the list view and perform actions on them such as delete, export, etc.) So, after exporting them, importing them into the new second journal, and deleting them from the original journal, the tags remain in the sidebar even though no entries are actually using it.
And that's the other part - the same tag shows up about 10 times, with no entires using it (verified by clicking each redundant tag and seeing no results).
Being able to delete the tag itself and have it removed from any entries where it was being used would be a real time saver. I regret some of the tag choices I made (there's a fine art to doing it in a useful way) and wish I would have done things differently when first starting using Journey.
