Yes, I believe a search feature is planned but only once their proprietary cloud sync is built. I don't think the web app search for Google Drive sync is possible with the way they handle data, but I have no clue.

Sounds like I'll have to migrate my data to the cloud sync. How do I do that?

When I am trying to search for keywords through my Journey using my web browser I get "Limited Functionality
This section has limited functionality due to end-to-end encryption."

This is not helpful with the Journey Cloud version.

mikevl42 Hi Mike, we've already clearly stated that some of the features will be restricted in end-to-end encryption. It would be too costly and almost impossible to perform elastic search on encrypted texts. Please note that the only way to enable search in the web app for end-to-end encrypted storage is by downloading your entire entries into your browser, decrypting them and conducting a database search. This is an impractical solution.

John How about download the entries and do an offline database search?

tiffanying It might be possible if we build the PWA version of the web app. I will let you know when I have more updates. Thanks!

It looks like export to PDF of all entries in a journal will be the only way to search past entries

mikevl42 I think what @John meant is that it is possible to search for entries even in E2EE if the app downloads all your journal content into a PWA.

I don't know about E2EE and PWA. All I know is that on the timeline panel of the web app, there is a search facility icon. When that is pressed, and the search should start, a message comes up saying, "not available." It could be E2EE, PWA, PPP, AAA BBB, or something else.
