  • Can't switch to email sign-in, what is the procedure?

I'd like to switch to Email Sign-in on my existing account. I currently use Google to sign in and I did the steps described here but if I choose to sign-in with email using my Google password, I get an error and I can't see the prompt to set-up email-sign in. What is the correct procedure?

    ariadnemm You will need to create an account using email sign-in. When our system detects the same email address as your Google account, it will automatically merge your profile. Using the same password as your Google password is optional.

          John Hi John, that's not working for me. If I try to create a new account with my current google sign-in- email address, in browser it says the function is only available in the app, and in IOS app 5.5.5 if I try to create a new account with the same email address as my present google sign in , it just says "error". How can I switch to email sign-in?

              Hello! To use email sign-in for your existing Gmail account, please follow these steps:

              1. Select "Email Sign-In."
              2. Enter your Google email address.
              3. Click on "Forgot Password."

              You will receive an email prompting you to reset your password. Follow the instructions to reset it, then log in again using your email and new password.
