  • Journey Desktop 2024: Sneak Peek of New Desktop App for Windows, Mac & Linux

Hi @John , here is Royen. I asked two questions about the Windows version, but you didn't reply to me.

I’ve been a loyal subscriber for many years, including holding Premium licenses for your older Windows version, as well as the Android and iOS versions. I’ve also subscribed to the Journey Desktop 2024 membership for the past six months.

However, the issues I raised have still not been fixed or addressed:
In the Journey Desktop 2024 version, when I start a new journal entry, I still can’t drag photos directly into the window. Also, the time shown is always the photo’s modified time instead of the original time it was taken.

This has been very frustrating, and honestly, I feel like the money I’ve spent hasn’t been worth it — I’m quite disappointed and upset.

Did you try copying the photo, then pasting (Windows Ctrl +V) it into the Journey app window?
I sold my Windows PC last year, but up to that point Ctrl+V worked for me on Windows 10 & 11 Home Edition.

Royen Hi! Journey desktop supports drag and drop in the media dialog at the moment. You can refer to the screen recording below:

Did you modify the photos in other apps? If so, could you let me know which photo editing software you use?

      Hi John,
Great to hear back from you! I just wanted to ask — would it be possible to bring back the old feature where we could drag photos directly into the writing area to upload them, without needing to click the “Media” button separately?

      like older windows version

I’m using Photoshop and Lightroom for photo editing.
Also, as Bee-Deutung mentioned — when will the Premium license be available?
