Here is how I got here as a brand new user on an iPad:
- Install Journey.
- Create an account using the e-mail option.
- Bought lifetime membership.
- Wrote two journal entries.
- Noticed a red sync icon.
- Went to Data & Cloud Services.
- Noticed I was local only.
- Added Journey as a cloud service.
- Enabled end-to-end encryption.
- Generated a password using Proton Pass.
- Copied and pasted the password to Journey in both field.
- Sync’ing has been failing.
- Go to the web interface.
- Prompted for E2E password.
- Told password is not valid.
- Go back to the iOS app.
- See JCS-A0002 error.
Figured I’d start clean since I just started, and then learned that there doesn’t seem to be anyway to reset the end-to-end password. I understand that data would be lost, so I’m surprised this doesn’t appear to be an option at all. The only remaining thing would be to delete the account, but I don’t want to do that.
