This is a feature present on the new Apple Journal app and it is something that would make it so much easier to log journal entries after the event you are trying to log. All I suggest is that you provide the same option that Apple does on their app. When you select the date there is an option to choose manually. I suggest you show another option if there is a photo attached to the entry that says “Take from photo” or similar. This would make it so much faster and easier to set the correct time on entries. Also I sometimes want to catch up at the end of the week for example and it’s a nightmare because there is no way to quickly check the date of the photo so I have no idea what date to put.
Thanks

Paulmh Can you send us a screenshot of the feature in Apple Journal? Also, do note that developers do not have control over iOS media files picker and apple journaling suggestion due to privacy reasons.

Hi yes I have attached a screenshot. The workflow is you add a photo and then this new menu option appears with the photo date. I have added a screenshot with the equivalent place in journey.

Paulmh Ah, I see. In Journey, you should be prompted to change the date and time of the photo when you add one with EXIF information. Do you see this option in the Journey app on your iOS device? Nonetheless, I will forward this feedback to my team.

No I've never seen a prompt like that to use the photo date, that would be brilliant and would solve my issue.

Paulmh It should look like this:

There's a bug in iOS. You will need to grant Journey the permission to access all of your photos in the Photo library in order for the app to access EXIF information. If you grant Journey partial access, the app will not be able to access the EXIF information.

Thanks I set the permissions and it started showing that prompt.
